I picked up this gem last week during book fair. Written by our Second Lady, who draws on her own experiences of having a son deployed to Iraq. She reminds us that it is not just members of the military that serve this country, but their whole families. She shares simple acts of kindness that were shown to her family while her son was away such as people praying, writing notes of encouragement, and help with occasional tasks. The book ends with a call to serve. How will you support those who risk their lives so that we can have freedom?
