Henry and the Buccanner Bunnies

I enjoyed seeing our first and second graders for the first time this week. We read Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies and discussed the importance of reading lots of books. Next, I showed them a bag of loot Henry left for us to look through. In the bag were objects to remind us how to take care of books. The bag contained an umbrella, soap, a lock, clock, etc. Students helped me figure out how each item related to caring for books.
