Children's Book Week

This week we are celebrating Children's Book Week in the library. We have fun activities planned in the library. Here are a few of them.

Guess Who? – Pictures of staff members reading a book are on display. Students will have the opportunity to guess the identity of these mystery readers. While students cannot see the reader's face, they will be able to use the title/cover picture of each book as a clue to figure out who the reader is. One winner from each grade level will receive a special prize.

Flashlight Reading – Students get to find great books and read them by flashlight. That’s right, there will be limited lighting in the library.

DEAR Time - The entire school, including teachers, will drop everything and read from 8:10 to 8:30 on Thursday. (I will post pictures soon.)


Top Ten List – I have a list of my favorite chapter books posted in the library. Students are encouraged to add their top pick to my list of favorite books. (I will post these soon.)
